Our CATALYST Engineering & Science Summer Leadership Program offers a unique, interdisciplinary approach to the “traditional leadership program”. Drawing from the University of Waterloo’s strengths in engineering, science and innovation, high school students develop leadership skills within a community and problem-based context - with real opportunities to put new skills to practice!

The program is one month long and has two components: two weeks of intensive engineering, design and leadership activities, and two weeks in a volunteer, co-op placement on campus. See our schedule to find out more!
The Catalyst Summer Leadership Program is only open to current high school students (entering Grade 10 or higher) and selection is application-based. Each of the three sessions will be restricted to approximately fifteen students.
Please note that this program is not an overnight program.
